The Putnam County Literacy Plan is currently based on three tiers. Tier 1 is our core reading program, word study, writing/language, and independent reading.  Harcourt Trophies is the adopted basal.  Please contact me if you have questions about this tier.  mackieb@k12tn.net   Tier 2 is an intervention for students who need a little extra help.  Harcourt Intervention is used for the first round of intervention.  Consecutive rounds include SRA, and otther interventions agreed upon by the RtI consulting teacher (Sheri Roberson) and school RtI committee. Tier 3 is an intervention for students with more significant needs.  SPED kids fall into this group.  SRA Reading Mastery is used.   Other students may fall into this group.  See Sheri Roberson for information on those who might qualify.
